OVERVIEW
MIMSR was established in 1990, and is affiliated with the prestigious Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik, and is recognized by the esteemed Medical Council of India. MIMSR offers quality medical education and training to its students, providing them with a strong foundation to become competent healthcare professionals.
The college has a 750-bedded multi-specialty hospital on campus, which provides students with hands-on clinical experience. Apart from this, MIMSR has a modern infrastructure with well-equipped laboratories, lecture halls, seminar rooms, an extensive library, and a hostel facility for students.
The college has knowledgeable faculty, who are well-known as they have contributed immensely to the field of medicine through research and studies. Maharashtra Institute of Medical Sciences & Research (MIMSR) offers 150 seats for the MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) course. The admissions to these seats are done through the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
85% of seats are for candidates who are residents of Maharashtra. Out of the remaining 25%, 15% are for students who are residing outside Maharashtra and the remaining are for students from Latur.
