Established in 1979, Bangalore Institute of Technology (BIT) has a legacy of providing top-tier technical education. The institute, supported by the Rajya Vokkaligara Sangha and a dedicated staff, is committed to excellence and motivates students to pursue knowledge.

BIT is renowned for pioneering technological education in Karnataka, being the first institution to offer a comprehensive degree in Computer Science and Engineering in the state.
