Founded in 1998 by Naveen Agarwal, DIT University (formerly Dehradun Institute of Technology) gained autonomous status in 2012 and was officially declared a university by the Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly in 2013. Scholarships
- Shri Naveen Agarwal Ji Scholarship for Girl Students (UG Program): 10% tuition fee scholarship for first-year UG students who scored 80% or above in X and XII. To maintain the scholarship, a CGPA of 8.5 or above is required with no back papers or disciplinary issues.
