Establishment and Background: Jaypee University of Engineering & Technology (JUET) in Guna was officially established through a Government of Madhya Pradesh gazette notification on April 29, 2010, as a private university under the MP Niji Vishwavidyalaya Adhiniyam 2007. It was previously known as Jaypee Institute of Engineering and Technology, Guna, founded in 2003. This transition followed a Memorandum of Understanding between Jaiprakash Sewa Sansthan (a non-profit trust) and the Government of Madhya Pradesh, with the vision of becoming a premier center for engineering and technology education in the region.

The university is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act, 1956 and received an ‘A’ grade from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) during its first accreditation cycle in 2016.

Sponsorship and Location: Sponsored by the Jaypee Group, JUET is strategically located in Raghogarh, Guna district, serving a region with significant agricultural activities and potential for industrial growth. This area includes backward districts like Shivpuri, Gwalior, Sheopur, Ashoknagar, Sagar, Rajgarh, and Vidisha. The university aims to contribute to the region’s development by producing skilled technical professionals.

Campus and Facilities: The JUET campus spans 125 acres along the national highway connecting Agra and Mumbai, featuring modern facilities for higher education in engineering and technical fields. The foundation stone was laid on March 15, 2002, by then Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Shri Digvijay Singh. Academic activities commenced in 2003.

• Faculty of Engineering: Offers B.Tech (4 years), M.Tech, and Doctoral programs in Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering.
• Faculty of Mathematical Sciences: Provides B.Sc. (Hons), M.Sc., and Ph.D. programs in Mathematics.
• Faculty of Sciences: Offers B.Sc. (Hons), M.Sc., and Ph.D. programs in Physics and Chemistry.
