INDIAN INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT RANCHI (IIM RANCHI)

Overview

The Indian Institute of Management Ranchi (IIM Ranchi) was established on December 15, 2009, under the 11th Five-Year Plan, and commenced classes on July 6, 2010. It is located in Ranchi, Jharkhand, India, and is one of six new IIMs approved by the Union Cabinet on August 27, 2009. IIM Ranchi operates independently while reporting to the Ministry of Human Resource Development of the Indian government.

The inaugural director of IIM Ranchi was M. J. Xavier.
