OVERVIEW
Shri Ramkrishna Institute of Medical Sciences & Sanaka Hospitals (SRIMS & SH) in Durgapur was established in 2019 with a mission to provide quality healthcare to the underprivileged sections of society, embodying the motto “Skill to heal, Soul to care.”
All undergraduate and postgraduate programs at SRIMS & SH are approved by the National Medical Commission (NMC) and affiliated with the West Bengal University of Health Sciences, Kolkata.
Academic Programs
The institute offers a variety of medical courses with a strong emphasis on quality education. The MBBS program, which has a capacity of 150 seats and a duration of 5.5 years including a one-year internship, is the flagship course. The annual fee for the MBBS program is approximately Rs. 20,88,000, and a bank guarantee is also required.
Infrastructure
SRIMS & SH is situated on a 20-acre campus, equipped with 385 teaching beds and 10 emergency beds. The campus includes essential facilities such as a cafeteria, library, sports field, and more. However, there is a need for increased patient intake to provide students with more practical experience.

The institute is located near Malandighi, Kanksha, Durgapur. The nearest airport is Kazi Nazrul Islam Airport, 34.5 kilometers away, and the nearest train station is Durgapur Railway Station, 15.5 kilometers away.
